Sammie's Story

I graduated in 1980 and tree months later I amrried Melvin Grant. We were married for 1 1/2 years when our Son, Derion came along. Life for me at that point changed forever. I started my first job in May 1988 and have been working every since. I played softball for 14 years before giving it up. I started a printing business in April of 1995. Today it is fully functional as Imaginative Printing owned and operated by myself. I received a diploma from the Institue of Children's Literature in 1987 for writing children's books. I published my first book of Poetry in November, 2001. Melvin and I seperated July of 2000. I moved to Dallas in August of 2001. Have lived there every since. We were divorced in July of 2003; however, we remain the best of friends. I graduated col...Expand for more
lege in December of 2007 with an Associates in Graphic Design. I work for Brinks Home Security as an Advanced Customer Sewrvice Specialist, also work part time at Walmart as a cashier and run the printing business on the side with plans to go full time soon. I am a devout and saved christian that loves the Lord and God with all my heart. They are my source. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I relax by watching movies, preferably love stories. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have transportation, my own desk, and lockable door to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Going to the zoo with Huey Van Epps and the summer class. He blew milk bubbles all the time.
