Samuel's Story
I graduated in 1966 and got married the same year in December to Kathleen Jones. I tried to go to a Junior Collage ,but it didn't workout. I then looked for a job around Mobile. These things were hard to find after the base closed down. I worked a few small jobs,but they didn't last. In 1968 I moved to Memphis ,Tn. to find a job. I worked with a carpet company laying down carpet. I tried to get a job with the Police Dept. in Memphis , but didn't get hired. In 1969 of March I landed a great job with the Memphis Fire Dept. serve with the Millington,Tn. Police Dept and 1 1/2 years later I worked as a reserve with the Shelby County Sheriff Dept. for about 23 years. During 1984 I got divorced and 1986 married Sherry Whitehead I met in the Emergency room where she worked. I had 3 kids from the first wife, that she got and the second one had three. I retired from the Fire DEPT In 2002 and moved to Ripley, Tn. I bought an old house ( The Money Pit) and got a Part-time job with the Sheriff Dept of Lauderdale County where I live. This is my story in a nut shell. I am looking for A year book for 65-66 if some one want to sell one. Thanks
