Samuel's Story
I moved to Gallup after graduation. I worked for a short time and met a girl form Gallup,which I landedgetting married to. I got drafted into the Army and after wandering across the USA, the Army sent me to Germany in 1969. I considered reenlisting but my wife wouldn't have it so I ETS in 1970. We moved to Albuquerque and I started an apprenticeship in the electrical trade. I worked for 2 years in that field and left for a job with the telephone company. I was moved to Grants, where I worked for 31 years in everything involved in the phone business. ave worked building all types of networks for different phone companies all over the state of NewMexico. Was in ElPaso for nearly a year when I decided I"D had enough of work and left my son to run the business. I have been re retired for about 3 months and doing Honey DOOOS at home. My wife is a Mid school councilor and will retire this year when school lets out. We plan on travelling the USA in a motorhome. Will try to look up some of my old classmates and military buddies.I didn't get to Vietnam but I did fight the Frawlines.....(joke).I salute all those who went to Nam and glad for those who made it home safely.
