Life
Samuel E. Walton, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Board of Directors of the InnerCity Housing Corporation, is a licensed real estate broker. Over an eight-year period, he participated in the development and redevelopment of housing and commercial projects totaling over $200 million while serving as Chairman of the Board for the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Commission. For several years he served on the Planning Commission for the City of Sacramento. Since 1991, he has been a partner in a multimillion-dollar land development limited liability company in Rancho Cordova, California. Samuel has 30 years of management experience that includes employment with both the Legislative and Executive branches of California State Government. irector for the Assembly Speakers Office of Majority Services, he managed the staff responsible for production and graphic design. As Executive Assistant to the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction, he assisted the Superintendent in managing more than 1,200 employees. In addition, his management and consultant experience includes over ten years of local, state and national public relations and marketing campaigns. Samuel also provided fiscal and policy analysis for the California Joint Legislative Budget Committee, where he served as Program Manager for the Legislative Analyst in the California Legislature. Furthermore, he provided policy analysis and advice to the California Assembly Majority Leader. Samuel holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Masters degree in Public Administration from California State University at Sacramento. He also studied at McGeorge School of Law.
