Sandi's Story

Austin, Texas and Regan High seem far away, but the memories of those years are still good to recall. I have lived many places since then...and as with most everyone, life has taken many unexpected turns. I now live in Las Vegas, and no, "sin city" is not all gambling, partying and scantily clad showgirls! When you live here you find that it's like most cities, only better: it has good points, bad points, and lots of Walmarts! It also happens to be a good place to get married. I would love to hear from former classmates. My husband was a military officer and he retired a few years ago. After his being stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, he was transferred to Langley AFB in Hampton, VA and then retire...Expand for more
d. We moved to Newton County, MS. We bought a house too big for two people with 10 acres and a pond. Wes bought his first truck and a big John Deere tractor. He doesn’t yet have the “southern country boy” down completely, but he does say “y’all” every now and then. We are too far to just drop by a good hamburger to go place, but we are loving living here it’s a huge difference in the places we have lived before. It’s a slow pace and no crime to speak of, if you are ever in East Central Mississippi drop by, we’ll feed you pork chops, Mac and cheese, and southern vegetables…and I will make my grandmother’s corn bread and strawberry cake. I missTexas, but at this age I’m loving living in rural MS Y’all come!
