Sandie's Story
Life
Lets see, I went back home (Rome Italy) for the month of April 2008 to visit with my family ( I go back home about once every 2 years now). Man, I had forgotten how really really beautiful it is there. I went alone in 2006 , and just kinda did it all. Trust me if you have the chance you need to do it at least once in your life. This April 2008 I took the kids with me. Now talk about a trip. I took them first to Amsterdam for 2 days and then into Rome and then Venice and Tivolli, Pisa, Tuscany and the Swiss Alps. It was AMAZING !!!! I'll be going back in 2010.
My fathers side of the family all still live there in Rome and Venice and a few still in Sicily. Most of you know I am the first generation born in America, my dad got to this country when he was 26 years old and I am just finding out he is STILL NOT an AMERICAN CITZEN !!! What the hell, I have no idea why this information would be witheld from me , I guess that's another story I need to figure out. Only one of my Uncles live in America on my dads side. The rest of my Aunts or Uncles on my dads side have ever been to America which sounds strange even saying.
Having gone this year and staying for a month with the kids, Was an experience for all of us. Not only did I have to transulate for Kristina and Jacob, but also Kristina's boyfriend ( yeah, I know I'm a great mom ,taking the boyfriend) Jacob, age 14 is just happy about being out of school for the time. Krisitna age 18 is straight out excite about taking her boyfriend with us there to meet our family and shop and maybe do some sking in the Alps.... Yeah, your right it was a crazy month. I'll post some new pics as they happen.
Life has tossed me a few curve balls in the last few years. Not that they were bad but huh REAL CURVE BALLS.
Oh my family is fine, kids great, we are all healthy. But, I found out I have a brother.Yep, those of you that know me your jaw is still dropped, I know it is because mine was that way for a few months. To make matters even more odd. We have known eachother for years but neither been made aware of the situation. Oh yeah everyone has always said "You two look so much alike" and we would just laugh it off. Stories way to long so drop me a note and I'll fill you in.
As for my brother, Santo ( Italian version of Sandie) We both laugh the same and have the same eyes and smile and the same ugly feet. and for the first time in my life I have someone that calls me his sister. I have a picture from a few years ago of both of us together in my pic's section.
I feel very lucky at this point in my life, I think I'm seeing what family and good health really mean.
I'm, loving every minute of it. the kids keep my busy and I'm guessing in about 6 years I'll get my own name b...Expand for more
ack but until then I'll be Tree's mom and Krsitina's mom to the everyday public...
School
HHHmmm school,
Looking back you know I really have no regrets I learned something from all that came into my life in one form or another.
I realize that the person I am today and how I deal with the business world reflects alot on how I grew up and the people around me.
I learned being quite makes people assume your timid and soon took on the roll of being aggressor~
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I NEED TO SAY "THANK YOU"
I learned that having a open heart
does not make you gullible. It makes you open up to oppertunities and possiblities that may have never come your way~
Most of all I learned that Saying
"I'm sorry" is timeless. It can erase the pain no matter how many years have lapsed by~
I only wished I would have allowed myself to take the time/ chance to become better freinds with a few of you ,but due to "clicks" that just could never happen. But now I'll roll a few stories out there that alot of you didn't know about me in school, I'm mean lets face it, I was pretty much labled "Jock Girl" - "Good Girl", Man if you only really knew me you'd know I often walked a fine fine line....
All an All I really can't complain at all, Those were the best tines of my life.
Workplace
Work......
I took about 1 year off and the went back to school and continued playing volleyball. Got my BA eventually and the I took my State Boards in 1990 obtained my Agents & Brokers license. I have had the opportunity to manage 3 different major companies in the past 20 years.
I love what I do and it allows me to come in contact with some old friends that I'm sure in cases I would have never seen again.
The company I currently work for is close to home and it allows me alot of flexability so I have been pretty lucky. I have a great staff that frankly make me look better than I deserve at times!!!!
My speciality I'd say would be Insurance Fraud & Investigations, I am in the process of my internship for my PI License, but doing that will take awhile since the internship hours are 240 and I have a full time job plus we own our own business and I have a family and oh yeah lets not forget about my mom.......(damn, I really need a vacation)
I'm still at the beach at least 2 times a month for the weekend and travel all I can. I love being a mom and my kids are the best gift that could have ever been given to me.
Thanks to my mom and dad I grew up with good work ethics I have them to thank.
I go to the beach and lay out in the sun and read
paitiance
If I won $100 millions, I'd give 250000 of it to church , then spend the rest on a secure investment or two and then buys my kids their own homes, travel and have a live in message therpist.
