Sandra's Story
Lost my high school sweetheart Joe Remisoski class of 63 to cancer in June
of 2005,the day before our 39th wedding
anniversary. Have five children,4 sons and one daughter. and 6 grandchildred.
My daughter JIll graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oakland University last May
and got a teaching degree. My seocond son Sean is a designer at Fords who graudated from Eastern and my eldest son Jason will soon receive his bachelors degree in Computer Programming. I have two other sons who are into computers. My friends are my support system. I love to travel, love plays and musicals, and love all kinds of music especially rock and oldies. I
still really miss Joe and have not dated since he died. He really spoiled
me and do not think there is anyone out there who c ould come close to him
I sure miss dancing as I love to dance
I also am not into seniors clubs. I may be getting older but those places are not for me. Try to keep busy and
may be helping my sons in some computer ventures. Would like to learn to paint and also write a book
someday. Looking to hook up with old friends and make new ones. I live in
Wyandotte which is a pretty cool place
to live. I love concerts to especially
rock and oldies, but I do like classical pops and go to the DSO> My
daughter and I recently saw Maddonna
at Ford Field, also saw Aerosmith and
Bon Jovi. Like going to museums like the D I A also. I am up for just about anything. Hoping to hear from old friends and new ones. Sure wish there were places around for seniors like me who are still young at heart. I am not ready for a rocking chair and shuffleboard by any means. Hoping to hear from some old friends with similar interests. I still am in contact with a few people from high school.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a ggod idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
Listen to music Lay on a nice sandy beach some where warm' Go for a walk on a nice day. Have a few glasses of wine or a sandy beach Have a some wine or a cocktails with friends
Make out with my boyfriend and future husband in the bus lot during lunch.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a good salary, a good boss, and good work environement to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero was a teacher named Duane
Furbush. He not only was cool but according to my husband did not give out many A's to girls., I was one of themI
He made learning fun.
I grew up in Dearborn, lived in Long Island New York moved to Taylor
got married. Moved to Waukegan Ill
and then Joe...Expand for more
and I were transferred to
Honolulu Hawaii for three and 1/2 years when we were newlyweds and had the time of our lives. THen moved back
to Michigan and Wyandotte.
I love American Idol. It is my favorite show. I love baseball. I love
my cat.
The biggest surprise or should I say sadness was losing the love of my life so early. It has been really hard
on me.
I live in a new home my husband and I just had built before he died,
So it was bittersweet.
Take each day one day at a time and stay postive.
Mrs. McBee if she was still alive. I loved her class and she was one cool lady who took nothing from some
of the jackasses in the class.
If I won 100 million Id givehalf of it to my kids and grandkids investments, travel myself and others less fortunate,
To be truly happy I would be in a warmer climate hopefully doing some volunteer work and living close to my daughter
My current age is 61. When I was young I thought people my age were ancient. I was so completely wrong
My best friend would tell you I am
a loyal, love to dance, the life of a
party and up for anything. I also am
a good listener and would do anything for anyone. People who do not know me may think I am quiet till they get to
know me.
I do not dress like I did years ago,nor do I dress like an old lady.
Like to dress fairly trendy andkeep up with the styles
I share my home right now temporarily with my daughter,my one son and three
cats which I find ok .
I would do nothing over except maybe have gone to a real college. I was so young when I married but very in love and that I would not change for anything.
I hope to be in better financial shape and able to travel more. Hope tp get there by working with my sons
and investing wisely.
My oldest friend is Ginny(Nobili)
Wiedling. We met through a mutual friend and we clicked because we both have a great sense of humor
I do not know what would surprise anyone other than I still I
feel look pretty good for my age and I am told I am a great dancer
My First Job was at Bank of the Commonwealth in Detroit where I goet paid about $375.00 or so a mo to be a secretary. I remember how much fun I had and how I loved working downtown.
Having a childhood crush on the boy
around the block and writing him a love letter with my printing stamp kit and riding around the block on my bike and sticking it in his mailbox
Old friends remember me as a good loyal friend who loved to have fun, dance, play jokes, and my wild blonde beehive hairdo.
