I enroll in John Muir for the 1962-63 school year, my freshman year. I and my 7 sibling were from Miami Florida. I had very few friends at John Muir because I was shy in public. My sister Barbara was the popular one. At home I ruled. I remember the first names of a few people but mostly I remember faces. I think I remember Sylvia or maybe it was Sylvannah , Milton, Novelle, Haroldlyn and Octavia Butler. I lived on El Serenio St. in a big pink house down the street from Haroldlyn (Robertson I think). Haroldlyn and I played tennis together occasionally. Haroldlyn's mom died, I was sad for Haroldlyn. 1966 I remember she married a previous boyfriend James Flannory. James dropped out of high school in his junior year I think. I had a crush on a guy named Eugene in school. We attended Mr Pappas's Social Studies class together.. I think he liked me too but I was " chubby " and like I say" shy". Once, I went to study at another guy friend's house but I do not remember his name.
