Sandra's Story

I lived in Columbus most of my life. I married and had 3 awesome sons. I divorced early in their lives and raised my son's mostly on my own. I never remarried, but was engaged for a number of years. My son's were raised at St Mary Magdalene and Bishop Ready High School. My oldest Ryan joined the Army and is super smart, his mos is Space satilite communications specialist, my middle son is my bestfriend, he lives in home where i raised him, he followed his father's trade, also very smart he does HVAC, my youngest multi-talented went to Capital University for 5 yrs, graduated pre-PT, competition bodybuilding and training competition bodybuilders has delayed the last part of his college, he use to go to AZ during summers from college, well he gell in love with this state, and his wife now and has a new baby girl Ella, he works fulltime and bodybuilds and trains, one day i m hoping he finishes his college to become a PT. All 3 are artists, all 3 wrestled in high school, Zac my youngest also played football, he was exciting to watch. A running back. As for me I worked as a Medical Assistant for 2 neurosurgeons and o1 trauma neurosurgeon at Grant, Dr Mahmound taught me everything. He moved to Wisconsin. I worked for Ohiohealth for 15 years. I also shared the love of sunshine like my youngest who talked me into selling my home and moving to Arizona, 1 1/2 years ago. I now have my own place and a job i really like. I love it here, i love the sunshine and blue skies, the mountains. I live in the East Valley south of Phoenix. It is awesome, the weather is beautiful. 2 problems here, 1 the summer is very hot, but i like it hot, but cant jog in it, but summer is only 3 months, the other 9 months absolutely beautiful. The other is i miss my son Jordan, Brooke, his women and their blended family of 5 children. I have 7 granddaughters, lol, Jordan will adopt Brookes 2 sons eventually, Jordan is very much into children, he coaches youngones in wrestling. We all love sports, especially the Buckeyes. My favorite sport is wrestling. That was the funest time in my life when my boys wrestled in high school, it was too exciting, Jordan made it to the State Championship and was on that podium. Zac could have been a champion, he always won, but his school did not have the right weight clasd for him, so he couldnt hang onto the 105 weight class, so he switched to football and was outstanding, we r all health fitness folks. I love to jog. I m going to get a new Boxer puppy next year to run and hike with me, as my boxer in Columbus Teddy Guinn Jr. Passed at 10 of cancer, the best trained running friend ever, he was trained for 2 weeks and could run like a champ, everyone lived him who drove past my house on the corner. I m starti g a new beginning, I beat cancer's ass after i arrived in AZ, i love my church, i m going to pick up my guitar again soon. I like to play christian music acostic style. I love my grandchildren more than life. They r scattered though, Colorado, Columbus, Ohio and here in AZ. My old...Expand for more
est Army son just moved from Hawaii to Colorado. I havnt seen him in awhile, but hoping that will change soon. I wanted my boys to never smoke, to be educated, have hardworking hearts, values and morals, and to believe in Jesus, all is accomplished and i m a proud momma. Those who no me know that i struggled in school, reason being my father passed away from cancer when i was 12. It was too traumatizing for me to handle, but back then there was no help for children, either u made it or u didnt, so i struggled until i made it. I was behind others in school work but not in street smarts, so i did suceed after all. I also then lost my bestfriend, my mother to cancer, as an adult though, i helped her through whatever she faced for 6 yrs. It was awful too. She was the strongest women i will ever know. She tried experimental treatments, all that was available. She took on everything to not leave us, but God took her home finally, i understand now we will all die, some will go to heaven and dome will not. I will see my loved ones again with all my heart and soul. I know this. I m not afraid to die, but i have so much to live for, i want the 3rd part of life which i think will be the best for me. So, just getting started. I have one more thing to accomplish surviving brain surgery due to a brain aneurysm. I m hoping the brain doctor will tell me there is little risk in waiting till the very end of March 2019 to get that done. After that there is no stopping me with jogging and hiking and being in the best shape of my life and becoming a frequent flyer to see my granddaughters and all my wonderful family. I m having a hugh party on March 23, 2019 here at my place at the clubhouse, in AZ if the brain surgeon will let me wa it that long. I will know at the end of this month. If he gives the ok, my invitations will be sent and plans will begin. It will be a great party, then the next week will be surgery. I will be in great shape, so hopefully I will heal quickly. My surgeon is well known all over the world, Dr Albuquerque a Barrow surgeon. The best. I will be in the best hands possible. I may have to do surgery earlier though, if so i will not plan my party yet. I m praying it can wait. My job is very new and important to me, but my life is more important. Its funny, i foundbout i had cancer and an aneurysm from falling while jogging, which is a miracle of its own. I had an abnormal lymph node under my arm. I hurt my should is what it all started out to be, both were incidential findings or i would have died earlier than i was suppose to. Both were silent killers with no symptoms. I thank God for these findings. I want to live a long long time and watch my granddaughters and my 2 adopted grandsons grow and believe they can be everything they want to be. They have great parents. I m so lucky to have what i have now. I want one more miracle to live that long life. This is my story! I m on facebook under Sandra Dawson in AZ, so if u remember me, i was hardly in class though send me a message.
