Hi my name in 1967 at thomas jefferson was sandra williams,got married jan 1967/was not allowed to finish schoolin dallas as a pregnant married women because of ins libility, well i was not going to give up so my husband and i moved to a little town in quinlan, three weeks before graduation they saithe same thing, so i went and taked with the counslers at tj,and the talked with quinlan school and decided if i would agree to go to summer school in quinlan, i could still graduatd with summer schoolclass from tj,iwasn'aquitter soi agreed ionly need a fourth of a credit ,well idid my job just great passed my classes and graduated in1967 summerschool,iwalked across that stage . and i co...Expand for more
uld seemybaby boy crying,i was so proud of my self and after 32 years of marrage,my marrage was over,but that didn,t stopme,in 2001 iwalk across another stage at northeast texas community collage with another diploma salaulatorin of my lvn nursing school and the audience was my grown son,daughter soninlaw,anddaughrtinlaw,and most important four grandkids. a counsler said i would never make it i had been out of school too long, well i suprised him!!! so don,t give up on your dreams im working in a wonderful hospital in east texas,married a woulderful man,and by the grace of god i did have the courage to stand up and say if i can do it you can sandra williams/duncan/brock 4/12/10
