David's Story

Life I was born in Winona, one of four children. I attended HS and then Winona State. After graduation I moved to Mpls. and spent five years with General Mills. I married in 1969 and Chris and I had two sons. I changed careers and spent the next 27 years with a company (Tremco) located within the Specialty Chemical Div. of BF Goodrich. I was able to retire in 1997 and continued my interst in restoring classic wood boats from the 50's. Unfortunately my wife of 33 years passed away in 2001 due to pancreatic cancer so I am now single again after these many years. Chris had been a flight attendant for NWA for 35 years. es in TX with his wife Erica and their three children. My youngest is Jason and lives in Bloomington withe wife Sarah and two sons. I spend winters in a great fresh water lakes area of Florida (Mount Dora/Tavers/Eustis)which is about 30 miles northwest of Orlando. I head south late October and return to MN Early April. I thoroughly enjoy the water, warm weather, & boating and am able to extend the season by being south. I spend a good amount of time during the summer participating in wood boat shows in MN and FL as a member of the Antique and Classic Boat Society. I love travel, do some volunteer work and visit family here and there.
