Sandra's Story

Life I am divorced and a mom to 3 which includes a set of twins. I worked for many years in the Nursing field. I moved from New York when I got married and lived in Washington DC then Maryland. I did move back to NY and lived upstate by Albany for a few years. I am now living in California and loving it. In fact I recently moved into a house. (hey after apartment living all those years its about time). On a personal note. I was diagnosed with a serious illness (brain tumor) that almost cost me my life- this is when I got divorced. I have since then been on disability but haven't been idle. I run my own business, creating jewelry. After I had had my surgery, as part of my therapy I was told to do arts and crafts. I liked it so much I made a bus...Expand for more
iness out of it. My youngest daughter, who is an audiologist(prescribes hearing sids), is the proud mom of a wonderful 4 year old- so yes I am a grandmother or 'Gwammy' as she calls me. But I am 18 that's my story and I'm sticking with it! hee hee. My son is a optician and a concert pianist-he plays to make you cry. My oldest daughter is manager of a school and also takes charcoal and paper and brings pictures to life. Her drawings give you goosebumps they are so wonderful and life like. Life has not been easy for me with my health problems but I am happy and content with where I am in my life. Actually if the doctors had been right I wouldn't be here at all. But with faith and perseverance- a little old brain tumor isn't going to keep me down.
