Life
I got my degree in speech and hearing therapy with an ed/psy minor (finally made it out in '70...those surgeries really slowed me down). I did get to practice in that field but found that without a masters, you too can starve.
After working for Methodist Hospital, Oak Cliff Nursing Home, UTHSC, I ended up at Xerox from which I had to take medical retirement at 59.5.
I'm still more a Sandy than a Sandra. I'm much faster now that I have graduated to an electric wheel chair...in fact, you oldies will have to keep up with me now! I married a gent from Scotland ...Expand for more
(Charlie Procter) who couldn't be all that bad as he loves dogs as much as I...so instead of kids, we get dogs...currently own 2...Mysy (short for Mystery puppy) and Oscar (I liked the last name Weinner but Charlie liked Wilde). We are both retired. I got into knitting when we went to Britian to check on his mom and into painting because I watch pbs too much.
It's revolting that as we get older, we get shorter! My maximum height was 4'8 and 3 quarters...latest check at doctor's office shows I've lost the 3 quarters. Rats! I'm still the shortest kid in the class!
