Sandra's Story

Dave and I sold our home on top of a mountain in PA and moved to Vero Beach, FL full time in 2011. We became allergic to shoveling snow, and now all we have to do is shovel the sunshine off the driveway each morning! I am active in our private community and also do volunteer work at a nearby thrift store that supports the homeless center here in Vero. The only thing with volunteering in a thrift store is that I spend between $5-$20 a week in the store buying things on a whim. I need a full time job now to support my volunteer job! ears and going strong!) so we are enjoying travelling to places that have always been on our bucket list. In September of 2020 we plan to revisit our honeymoon travels in Europe 50 years later, including the Oktoberfest in Germany. Can't wait! Well, we never made it back to the Oktoberfest for our 50th anniversary due to the pandemic. The Oktoberfest has been cancelled 2 years in a row now due to the pandemic. We continue to be safe and well living in Vero Beach, FL and travel up north for a couple of weeks in the summers to visit family and friends in NJ. Life continues to be good to us at 76. .

Ellen (second from left), this one is for you. Remember the E’town Go-Go Girls? E’town Gas Co. built a 7 story modernistic building in the center of Elizabeth that generated its own electricity from turbines on the roof.
To all our friends and family: Our home in Vero Beach on the east coast of FL is fine. It suffered no damage as we have a cement block home built to hurricane code, and we never lost electric due to the underground utilit
