Sandy's Story

I retired from the phone company in 1995 as a yellow page sales rep. A great job but the offer was too good to refuse. Still live in Ipswich. Got a new cocker spaniel puppy, Matey, and married Ken at a surprise 4th of July party in 1995. My son Scott, who is a Commander in the Navy (22 yrs in) gave me away. Even our matron of honor and best man did not know, Ron & Laurie Cameron. We are the best of friends and do just about everything together. Laurie & I went to Japan to visit my son for 19 days without the guys! We had a fantastic time!! We have lots of trips to plan but my puppy is getting on in years – 15. She is ...Expand for more
blind and death and quite confused. So, no trips for awhile, she can’t be left at a kennel or with anyone for any length of time. We are power boaters and spend lots of time on our mooring on the back side of Cranes Beach. It’s our second home and Matey still went with us this summer although she did not go ashore at all – too confusing for her. Lots of washing of the back deck though! We also spend a couple months in Florida. In my free time – ha – I love to do stained glass and gardening. I am also the Vice Chair and web master of my retirement group – keeps me very busy. Whew!! Life is good!!
