Sandy's Story
I left Cubberly and spent 2 years at JC. I then became a police officer in Menlo Park. Married a highway patrolman in '65, divorced in 68'. Left the police department. Went to live on the island of Crete, GR, for '69. Went to work at Stanford in late 69' for a US Govt. investigation project. Transferred to the USC team in 1970 and became project mgr. for government safety investigation teams. Left in '80 and became an investigator for the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) for 10 years. Married again 9 '73 and had wonderful daughter in '74. d my own company as an investigator and expert witness. Also joined research laboratory at that time. Traveled the world extensively (20% of it at last tally) conducting training courses and investigating accidents. Conducted 6 year study in Thailand, consulted with Vietnamese and Nepali governments, and had a blast! My beautiful daughter runs a large land conservancy now. I'm still self employed as an expert witness. The best part is that I sing with two bands now, one soft rock and one blues band and it's the best part of my life so far! I'm sure there are more adventures out there, perhaps touring with one of these bands! Never too old!
