Sandy's Story
I live in the Classic City and have been married to Larry Baumwald for 28 years. We have three children, Keith, Erica and Scott. Now empty-nesters,
we enjoy travelling most any where in the world.
After Cross Keys, I got both my Bachelor's Degree and Law Degree from the University of Georgia.
After practicing law here in Athens for several years,
I "semi-retired" to raise children. I am happily back at work, but not actively practicing law.
Life is good - much better than high school ...Expand for more
days, for sure. Moving from middle Georgia to Atlanta after our father's death in 1968 at the start of 10th grade was a shock to this small town gal - but I survived.
Brother, Ronnie is still the "Mayer of Brookhaven" -
his R. Mayer Towing is all over the place and he just bought another house on Redding Road. Mama is also in the area - in a senior high rise on Peachtree.
Did any of us in 1971 know that we lived in such a "hot" area?? Keep in touch - I'd love to hear from most of you!
