Sandy's Story
Life
Hi, fellow Wildcats! Seems it's been awhile since I've seen all of you. I'm still near the St. Louis area, although farther south - in Hillsboro. I married my long-time beau, Jim Holladay, in 1962 and we're still together - this summer it will be 39 years (can't imagine how the time went by!) After raising my one and only kid, Tami, I decided to get out into the world a bit - so I got an Associates Degree and have been working in various offices - mostly doing sales and customer relations work (I swore I'd never be a paper pusher, but here I am - and enjoying it!) When my sister lived in England I took a few trips over there and discovered that London's pretty wet and rainy and Paris is the most fun place in the world. My Mom retired to live in Florida to be near my "baby" brother (who's now in his 40's and builds Walmart stores in ...Expand for more
Poland), so I try to get down there to visit in the winter - about February when I can't stand the St. Louis weather another minute. I have one grandson named Raistlin (any of you science fiction fans probably know what book that name comes from - but I don't ever remember). He's nine years old now, and I've been trying to stay in shape so I can keep up with him. I like to rollerblade and ride my bike in the summer and ice skate in winter (indoors only!) Also, I sing barbershop harmony with the local Sweet Adelines chorus - but I've lost an octave or two from my soprano voice, so I sing baritone now. I'd love to hear from any of you guys. We all had such dreams and plans in high school. How have they worked out for you? I haven't done nearly as much as I had imagined, but then again, to quote Yogi Berra - "It ain't over until it's over!"
