Sandy's Story
Hi All!
I joined classmates several months ago. I didn't hear anything for a long time, but now I am starting to hear from some old friends, so now I am happy I paid =).
So here is my story. My parents moved during my junior year of high school, so I went to Berthoud High my senior year and graduated from there. I married Dan Farnsworth when I was 18, had my first child at 19. I went to DIT in 83 and got my electronics certificate, and over the past 25 years worked my way from Technician to Senior Engineer. I have been doing software QA since 1998 and I love it. I can break just about any piece of software, and they pay me to do it! Nice.
I left Dan at the beginning of 2007, left my house, filed bankruptcy, filed divorce, and I am finally just about done with everything, and I lived through it all and I feel stronger for it. So I am celebrating by going to see Crosby Stills and Nash on June 26th. =)
I have a small apartment in the middle of town, and I have everything I need, so I am happy. I stopped playing guitar for about 30 years, but now I have a new guitar that I love and I am learning to play again. I have been to a few music festivals. I still love the old folk music and the old rock and roll we used to listen to "back then".
I love hiking and camping and rivers. The weather has been weird this year, so I haven't gotten out much yet.

ch synthesizers, speech recognition engines, dictation tools, etc. I love my new job. The company is small, and the people are unique, so I fit in there very well. I never fit in very well at large corporations. Too many sheep, lol.
I have 4 kids and 5 grandkids now. My son William is 30 now. He is a chef and the kitchen manager at Rooster's restaurant in Keenesburg. It is right at the bottom of the off ramp on I-76. Will has 4 kids, abd they are 13, 10, 9, and 3. My daughter Jessica is 24 and lives in Greeley. She is working at Blockbuster and is thinking about moving back to Longmont. Danielle is 19, and she is out on here own, working at Famous Footwear and doing well. I am trying to talk her into going to school. My youngest child, Samantha is 17 and still lives with me about half of the time. She has a 9 month old baby, Jacob, so they go back and forth between my house and her boyfriend's house. I like having them here, but I am usually glad for the break when they are gone.
I am gonna be 50 in July, and I am having a little trouble figuring out how I got so old, lol. I am a vegan now, and I recycle and I try to follow the "leave no footprint" philosophy. I wear alot of Tie dye, so my kids think I am a total hippie and that I am a little crazy (imagine =). I got a new computer a few days ago, so I am getting it set up and playing with it.
I would love to hear from anyone that remembers me from high school.
