Sandy's Story
My name was Sandy Watts when I graduated. I lived in the green house next door to Overlea. I married my high school sweetheart - Ed Hill in January of 1967. We are still friends. We have one daughter - Kimberly. She is now 41 and she too graduated from Overlea in 1988. She has one son, Matthew who will be 21 in August. I was married to Ed for 10 years before we divorced in 1978. Kim and I moved to OC in 1977. I remarried and moved Kim and myself back to Baltimore in 1984. We lived in Rosedale and Edgewood. I stayed married to my 2nd. husband- Fred Janssen for 10 years. By that time Kim had married and divorced her husband and had Matthew. I once again moved to OC in 1995 only this time by myself. I met Mike Van Westenberg in 1998 and moved to Fairfield PA. We were married the next summer. Mike passeed away this past February. country, so I moved back to Joppatowne and now live in Harborside Village. Between my 2nd. and 3rd. marriages I collected 6 step-children (the last 3 boys from Mike are still a major part of my life - and one daughter from my marriage to Fred has recentlly come back into my life) I also have 12 step-grandchildren from both marriages and 6 great grandchildren. I was a legal secretary after high school and when I moved to OC, I was a secretary in a Real Estate office and became a Realtor. I was a Realtor for 30 years. I managed offices in the Baltimore area and in OC. When I moved to PA, I was lost. I had never even been to Frederick MD let alone the Gettysburg area of PA, so I gave up my license. I worked in Frederick as an assistant to an optomerist and then after 911 Michael didn't want me to work, so I gladly became a housewife. I am now happy that I don't have to work and am trying to get back into the single life.
