Sandy's Story
Wow! A lot of time has passed since high school! I currently live in Michigan with my husband of 20+ years, youngest son, Sean, 19, and our dogs, Wags and Shadow. My two older children, Jennifer, 30, and Jonathan, 26, are living on their own. Over the years, I worked at a lot of different jobs, but the most important one of them was as a stay at home mom. I did a lot of volunteer work during that time. I went back to school when my youngest child was in kindergarten and graduated with a Bachelor's in Secondary Ed (Social Studies/English) in 2005. the job market went bust here in Michigan and I started working as a Media Center Coordinator; since I've always loved to read, this was a natural extension for me.I completed my Master's in Library and Information Science in 2009 and have been teaching high school Social Studies for the past 5 years. I get to teach U.S. History, World History, African American History, 50s/60s History, Psychology, Street Law, Geography, Government, Economics, and English. It's been amazing looking around this site to see the names and to remember old times....best of luck to each of you!
