Sarah's Story

I was in chorus for the last 2 years at SOC. I finished my senior year in January and worked 2 years before going to NTSU in Denton. There I earned a BE in Elementary Education. I taught one year in Garland Texas ( Jr high math) before moving to Florida for 3 years, where I taught 3rd and 4th grades. I moved to New Brunswick Canada for 2 years and worked briefly as a floral designer. I took business classes at the University of New Brunswick, but did not complete a business degree since I was moving back to the states I moved to Columbus, GA in 1974 and again taught Jr high math for one year before returning to 3rd grade, I attended Auburn Univ...Expand for more
ersity to earn my masters and later my specialist degrees in Educational Media. I move into the Media Center in 1977 and remained a Media Specialist until my retirement in 2005. I am married to an Elementary teacher. Our daughter, Shannon, will finish her PhD in May from Kent State in nuero-behavioral psychology. Our son, Eddie, in a junior music major at Georgia Southern University. He plays sax and especially enjoys being a member of the school marching band, jazz band and several other groups. I still enjoy reading( mysteries, histories). We have 2 elderly cats. Several family members still live in Dallas and I manage to visit every year or two.
