Sarah Swindall:  

I was born in Stringtown, Atoka County, Oklahoma in 1941. My sister, Dorothy, and my brother, Ronny, were also born in Atoka County, Oklahoma. Mother and Daddy moved our family to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma when I was in the fourth grade. I lived in Del City Oklahoma approximately 10 years. In 1958 I married a student from Del City High School and we moved to Anchorage Alaska while he was serving in the U.S. Army. We divorced in 1960. Without a high school education and diploma it was difficult to obtain a good paying job. I worked as a waitress and returned to Del City High School graduating in 1962. Later, I attended Central State College obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Library Science in 1966 and a Master of Science Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas in 1990. My profession was in the field of Records Management. After several years in the profession, I obtained the designation of Certified Records Manager from the Institute of Certified Records Management.
