Sarah's Story

Life After leaving Baytown in 1970 I went one year high school in Spurger, Texas and my senior year in Woodville, Texas where I graduated. I married right after graduation and have two children and six grandkids. Our daughter has had breast cancer (2006) and is now a four year survivor. She also lost her home in Hurricane Rita (2005). She and her family now live in our house until things get better. In 2007 her daughter was dianosed with diabetes. They have had a lot to deal with but have faced it all with unbelievable strength. ul, is a construction worker and works all over the US. We have been traveling since 1999. He is a pipefitter out of the local in Nederland, Texas. Right now we are working in Indiana. It is his first job after having a total hip replacement. He has done really good after his surgery. Our son lives in our other house and we bought the house across the street so we would have a place to live. We own half of the dead end road we live on and it is the end part. Kids can play and not worry about cars speeding through and have six acres to play on.

Our yellow lab, Lady, passed away today. She was a stray that came up to our house in Dam B. We had her 10 years. She is playing with Jazzy which was our grandson Troy’s dog. She passed in March. They are playing in Dog Hea
