Sarah's Story
After graduation I stayed in Bel Air for a couple of years working at Woolworth (remember it?) and the phone company. I decided to continue my education at Harford Community College but attended two more colleges, (one in Salina, KS and the other here in Chanute) before finally earning two Associate's and a Business Degree in Accounting. I worked in the accounting/business/legal field for several years.
My first marriage is not worth mentioning more than this. My second gave me two beautiful sons, Elijah and Johnathan. My third marriage blessed me with two daughters, Robin and Ronda, and another son, Roger, making a blended family of five children who have honored me with 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. en and the step-son from my second marriage who has blessed me with 5 more grandchildren. Making my world more fantastic than I ever dreamed thanks to FB. lol
We also include in our family an ex-daughter-in-law and her family here in Chanute. We are blessed with her 3 children and new husband and are so thankful for them. They do keep me hopping.
My husband of 27 years was killed this past Thanksgiving doing what he loved, riding his Harley. He is with his parents and mine, one grand daughter-in-law and one great granddaughter.
I am trying to figure my future right now. Not sure it will include a trip to Bel Air for any reunions but we'll see.
