Sarah's Story
School
We moved several times during the school years & I went to several schools in Montgomery County. My favorite time was in Jr-Sr High at Southmont 1974-1978. I obtained a completion of certificate from Southmont in April of 1978, after just one week out of school. I loved school at Southmont but had problems with my abusive (physically, verbally, & emotionally) stepmother, Phyllis. I missed my friends & classmates terribly.
College
I made Straight A's in all my subjects, except for US History I & Business Math. One of my Psych professors told me that I would make a really good counselor. I graduated Summa Cum Laud from Vincennes University in 1995. I used my GI Bill to finance my tuition fees. While going to college, I was working a full time job with the military, & was raising two small children, along with the "wifely" duties including cooking, cleaning, etc.
Life
I have many areas of expertise as I have been in almost every walk of life imagineable. I was raised in the country with cows, chickens, & horses. I lived on a cattle farm with my 1st husband who died in 1982. I was left with nothing & was homeless for about 4 months. I joined the Army & moved to big city in 1982. I remarried in 1984. I had 5 specialties in the Army: Medical 91B, Clerical 7...Expand for more
1L, Transportation 88N (Traffic Movement Coordinator), Administration 75H, & Legal 71D. I was also Hazardous Materials Certified including explosives & taught it as well.) I am retired as a Staff Sergeant & receive full benefits. I am also retired civil service. What's funny is that I always told myself that I didn't like office work in high school but ended up spending 95% of my military career behind a desk while on active duty & civil service full time & loved it. I divorced in 1999 with 2 sons & moved back to my old stomping grounds. I belong to the American Legion, the American Legion Auxilliary, the 40/8, & D.A.V. .
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Ray Holly, because he was my 1st boyfriend.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my basement and add on a room on top of my garage. My dream home would be large & expensive.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to my siblings, then spend the rest on another really nice home, travel a little bit and buy homes for my sons.
My current age is 62. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be weak & unenergetic. I was so completely WRONG.
My best friend would tell you I'm a nymphomaniac, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy & frigid.
