Scot's Story
Life
Sara Wuchevich, lookin for ya, miss ya. Reach me at face book or my space. I currently work as an avionics tech. for a 3rd party airline maintenance facility called PEMCO in Tampa. We did work for Southwest, I'm glad they're gone, they have POS planes, and JetBlue, happy to work on them, and soon United'd 757's, looking forward to that. I'm glad to be back in Florida. I used to work for Frontier Airlines, based in Denver, Co., as an Avionics Technician. I held that position for 8.5 years. I was in the USAF for a lil' over 6 yrs as an avionics technician as well, excellent career, but glad to be out. I am married, Dec 10,1995, to my long distance high school sweeheart, Brenda. We had a lil girl, Ashlie, born Sep. 21,1995 who unfortunatly passed away Apr 10,1997, at the age of 17 months due to croup. We miss her very much. We now have a little girl, Dakota, born Jan 27,2001 and a lil boy, Kyle, born Nov 11,2003.
The career couldn't be better. I can't believe I'm on my 7.5 year mark with Frontier already. Time flys when you enjoy your career. If any of you ever happen to fly Frontier and are making a connection in Denver, email me at the above addy and I'll meet up with ya during your layover. Hope everyone's well....
Workplace
I love my job, who else can say that? I am an Avionics Technician for PEMCO World Air Services in Tampa, I was an Avionics Technician for 8.5 years with Frontier Airlines based in Denver, Co. I do operational checks on commercial aircraft systems, Bo...Expand for more
eing 737, and soon 757's, Airbus A318, A319's and A320's... I troubleshoot and repair the stuff that gets the planes from point A to point B without getting lost, the radios to communicate to air traffic control, and radar to avoid turbulent weather, everyone hates turbulence... Frontier had good pay and great bennies (i.e. free flights) Working for an airline had it's perks... But we really wanted to get back to Florida and get out of the cold... Hopefully within the next year to year and a half, I'll be with an airline again, maybe JetBlue... We'll see...
Enuff for now, Bye,
Scot
Military
I was in the USAF for a little over 6 year. Stationed at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Tx. like all the other Air Force people for 6 weeks, you guessed it, Basic Training. Then I went on to Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Ms. For my technical training, 9 months. This is where I learned my craft, Communications / Navigation Systems Technician, Avionics for short. After that, I went to 16 CRS TF/TA Radar shop at Hurlburt Field, in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. Awesome assignment, I stayed there for 5 years, never left, not even for a TDYÂ
that part sucked, I would have liked to travel a little while I was in. I don't regret ever joining the Air Force, I learned a lot, discipline, responsibility, and skills that landed me an awesome jobÂ
I do the same thing, 4 years now, for an airline based in Denver, Co. Frontier Airlines and I make a lot more money doing it...
Well, there you have it, my military life,
Scot
