Scot's Story
Life
Since the answer selections are limited in Classmates Q&A format, I used their questions while forming my own answers. Here goes....
What do you do with free time? Read, write, rant, rave, walk, water the trees, fumble my way through the internet, bag on the Angels when they lose, coach Little League; take classes which is humbling when the uncovered truth reveals that I don't know as much as I thought I did. (I sometimes wish that I would have talked less and learned more in Mr. Tilson's class.)
Relationship status? Married, divorced, remarried, widowed and am currently in a commited relationship. If insurance companies wrote policies that covered for emotional upheaval due to relationship risk, my application for insurance in that department would look pretty risky.
Gender? What a ridiculous question that is. My gender is the same as it was in high school.
Living arrangement? Own in Yucca Valley. Even though a lot has changed it's still a nice place to live.
Pets? One good dog and a friendly cat.
How do you feel about life? In spite of being half-blind with aches, pains, bumps, bruises, slight hearing loss and an occasional sore back, life is good.
Favorite T.V.? Some drama, some sci-fi, som...Expand for more
e comedy, documentaries. Forget Dr. Phil, reality T.V., and Bill O'Reilly....
How would friends describe you? Grumpy old man who drives too slow.
Dream vacation? A clear alpine lake, a rowboat, and a quaint wood cabin hidden within the shadows of a towering pine forest.
If you won 100 million? After wetting my pants I'd clean myself up and search for that cabin by the lake.
Pet peeves? Arrogant people who treat others without even a degree of civility. Credit card companies and telemarketers who are always searching for ways to scam an extra buck from consumers.
Where do you meet friends? Usually through other friends.
Political views? Escape the war in Iraq, let the immigrants stay, work, and pay their fair share of taxes. Fix healthcare!
Why are you here at Classmates? Got lost on the internet highway. And as Dave Williams so eloquently put it, I'll borrow the phrase he used: "I'm not sure how I got here."
And oh, I almost forgot, Classmates forgot to ask one other last important question: Did you have any secret crushes? Well of course I did. I had several. Now as for today, and even though it's thirty years later, I think I'll continue to keep those fond memories what they were then -- a secret....
