Scott's Story
Hi! Remember me? I was the loud, obnoxious one that didn't know when to shut up. I meant well, but my social skills needed a major overhaul. Resocialization during basic training quickly put an end to all that. Too bad I coudn't go before high school, right?
After attending Center (7th-11th grades) from 84-89, I moved at the tail end of the 88-89 year losing touch with all my friends. :( I went to Bella Vista for most of my senior year, then moved again a few times finally graduating in 90 at Placer High after only 2 months. Naturally, my strongest ties are were with my friends at Center, but I thank those who brought me, a stranger, into the fold in my last year. Bouncing around my senior year pretty much killed any chance to establish lasting friendships. But I welcome the chance to get to know people that shared those awkward years.
After graduating, I joined the Army just in time for my Germany-based unit to get deployed to Iraq. I returned to Germany after my tour there and volunteered for every special assignment that allowed me to travel (TDY for you other military types.) I finished my enlistment in Ft. Riley, Kansas which isn't as bad as I would have thought.

urprise there, eh?) Oh, I was a flight attendant for a few years between my degrees. You might not have seen that coming. I traveled a lot in the military; I think there was still a desire to do more travelling, just without the armed convoy. So considering in my inability to stick with a major for more than a year, adding a few years of "coffee, tea, or me?" time with United, and tacking on my military enlistment, that brings us to 2004. Shortly thereafter I started my career as a software designer in a cube farm in Roseville where I continue to this day.
I've never been married and have no children. I love the summer as long as I can make a break to the pool, river, lake or whatever to beat the heat. I enjoy BBQs with friends and salsa dancing the night away. I'm learning how to swing dance, but so far it's been a little rough. The great people I meet there keep me coming back. Just this year I started going to Bayside, Granite Bay. It's huge! Do any of you go?
