Scott's Story

THIS IS A SOMEWHAT CHRONOLOGICAL CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR OUR FAMILY: 1978: Laurel (Temple) had our youngest son Ryan; I graduated (barely) 1979: Laurel graduated 1980: I Joined the military and then married Laurel 1980: Moved to Grand Forks ND with the Air Force 1981: Laurel had our second son Nicholas 1983: Moved to Patrick AFB, FL, with the Air Force 1985: Moved to Korea for the Air Force 1987: Moved to Illinois for the Air Force 1987: Moved to Biloxi, MS, for the Air Force 1989: Laurel had Aaron our youngest son 1990: Went to the Arabian Peninsula for the Air Force during the first gulf war. Assigned to the war zone for 8 months. 1992: Moved to Omaha, NE, for the Air Force 2000: Retired from the Air Force 2000: Became a civilian employee for the Air Force 2000: Moved to Southern IL for the Air Force (civilian) we bought our first house in O'Fallon, IL. sons stayed in Omaha, NE, and so it was just Laurel, Aaron and I 2005: Laurel, who has been with the Fed Gov for 20+ years deploys to Kuwait in the war zone. 2006: Laurel returns from Kuwait and we then receive orders to Northern England (UK) I stay on as a civilian for the Air Force; our middle son, Nicholas, gets married to beautiful person 2007: Aaron graduated high school and is accepted to medical school at Creighton University in Omaha NE. Nov 08: Nicholas and Milette have our first grandchild, Daphne Bawek. See pic. Jul 10: Currently living in Maryland and hoping to move back to Minnesota. I always wanted to be a Pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Cars (mine), our dog; travelling and planning the next trip. My current age is 50. When I was young, I thought that people my age now would be dead.
