It's amazing. Upon graduation, all I wanted to do is get as far away as possible. Who would have thought that I'd end up back 'home' in Willcox. I spent years living and working in other states, seeing what life could offer. It ended up offering a great life back in the place I wanted to get away from. The Fates can be a fickle lot sometimes. If I hadn't returned, I wouldn't have met the love of my life, and I definitely would not be as happy as I am now. Unfortunately my job is in Douglas, and after more than 8 years I can do the drive in my sleep, as I've tried to do several times with disasterous results. But the angel on my shoulder has kept me from doing anything more than soiling my underwear and causing minor damage which has been easily repaired. We live a few miles out of town where we keep our menagerie of livestock, dogs, and cats. There are days I definitely work harder at home than I do at work. The pay isn't as good, but the benefits are far better; a happy wife = a happy husband. After several 'careers', I finally found my niche in the medical field, and have been at it now 20 years.
