Life I attended college at Kansas State University and graduated with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications in 1988. Upon graduation, I worked as a television anchor in Hays and Great Bend for 8 months and then decided I would move down South to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I worked at a small CBS affiliate there and then eventually moved to Jackson, Mississippi where I covered the state legislature for an ABC affiliate. In 1992 I got tired of the South and broadcasting and decided it was time for a new adventure. I quit my broadcasting job and moved to Kansas City where I got a job as an editor doing real estate publications. After about two years doing that, I auditioned for a job as a public speaker/trainer for a company called SkillPath Seminars. I spent my time traveling the U.S. and Canada trying to motivate people to do their jobs better.
