Scott's Story

Life Remember when I thought I wanted to be an actor?? I think I got in the wrong line or something, because now I work as a nuclear engineer. I married my amazing wife Jami (I didn't have a "then" picture, so I put one of her and I smooching there) on May 24, 2003, who I met through work at the plant. She has a master's in public relations and used to be our communications department (yes, the whole department). Now she works as the regional communications director for the American Heart Association in Jackson. Between us we have 3 great young boys (oldest to youngest): Zach, Sam, and Dylan. Zach and Sam are from Jami's previous marriage, and Dylan is from my previous marriage. We have two cats, Tail Kitty and No-Tail Kitty to complete our little family. We live in Vicksburg, MS which is only about 3 hours from Marshall. We all have fun however we can. We take karate together as a family, and Jami and I enjoy traveling and going out dancing (she is better at it) and drinking (I am better at it). I like to tag along with her on business trips because she gets to go to places like New Orleans and Washington, DC. We got insane this year and flew with the 3 boys to Washington state to see her folks. Next time it will be a grown-ups only vacation!! ...Expand for more
What can I say? Life is good. My wife buys me cool stuff and I hardly ever melt down the plant (just kidding, that only happened in the simulator). I haven't kept in touch much over the years, but I would love to hear from some of ya'll and try to catch up before the next reunion. College Right after HS, brief acting career attempt at American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. All I learned is that I don't like to be hungry. While stationed in upstate NY in the Navy, went to school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - BS in Nuclear Engineering. Currently working on an MBA at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS (because I have sooo much spare time). Workplace Serious jobs, but I am still as crazy as ever! 8.5 years in the Navy as a Nuclear Power Plant Mechanic. Since Sept. 2000, I have worked as a mechanical systems design engineer at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Port Gibson, MS - one of Entergy's nuclear plants. Military 8.5 yrs. in US Navy: March 92 through Spring 93: Orlando, FL - Boot Camp, Nuclear Power School Spring/Summer 93: Charleston, SC - Nuclear Prototype training Fall 93 through Summer 96: Norfolk, VA - USS John C. Stennis CVN-74 Summer 96 through September 2000: Ballston Spa, NY - Instructor for Nuclear Prototype
