Scott's Story
Life
Since my last update, things have changed a little. My wife and I are relocating to the Atlanta area (Nov 2007). We have an adorable little girl who is now 4 years old and have adopted a son, Joshua. He is 4 months old. We are looking forward to the new adventures that Atlanta brings us once we land. bvt10 at primerica. Com is how to reach me.
School
I got to spend only 1 semester at Youngsville High. It was great to be re acquainted with my old friends from elementary.
When I think of my years at DB in Tennessee, I remember Mrs Bowman the science teacher. She was tough, yet compassionate and loving. Such an awesome lady. I remember 'Gunny' from ROTC, who was kind and cool with everyone. I remember Mrs Miller the Spanish teacher and the fun that Chuck Hammond and I had in her class. I remember hanging with my cousin in Mr Winkles office as a teacher's aide and then going out to the track and sweating and freezing during practice. I recall our football team was not that good, but we had fun.
College
I took the long road in college. I spent my first two years playing around at ETSU not really knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up. I started as an engineering major until I figured out I did not like Calculus and Chemistry. Then I decided to try accounting (yuck). When I moved to Florida, I completed my AA degree in Business Mgmt from Broward Comm. College and moved to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL to complete my Bachelor's Degree in 1997. All of this was part time while I worked my way through. It was really nice to finally finish and accomplish my goal. Just wish I would have done it quicker! Now, in 2007 I am looking to start my Masters, which will be some time in 2008.
