Scott's Story
Hello Friends... It has been a long time. To bring you up to date will take some time, so I opt for a shorter version and throw in a few photos. I married my HS sweetheart, Cydney 33 years ago and we've been very happy and fortunate. We've got two kids, Brad (31) and Allison (21). When Cydney was pregnant with Brad, we moved to Texas. I went to work for Exxon and have just completed my 31st year with them. We have lived in East Texas, Houston, Alaska, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Qatar, Paris (FR) and now back in Qatar. I really enjoy my work and will probably stay at it until it's not fun any more. Qatar is a great place to work... a little hot during the summer though.
My son, Brad has just gotten married in August to a lovely girl, Heather, who we love dearly. The wedding was beautiful... in Balboa Park and what a great reception!!! He is working in TV/Motion pictures as a lighting grip. He worked three seasons on "Veronica Mars" and is currently working on a new show for CBS. ma State in the Fine Arts Program and doing fantastic. As far as the rest of the family... Cydney lost her mother to cancer about 6 years ago and my dad passed 3 years back. The remaining parents are doing well and Mom is still in the same house in NC and JD is in Texas.
We've had many highlights, but must say that the year and a half we spent in Paris was the best. We stayed in some lovely apartments, frequented many fine restaurants, drank the best Champagne & wines, met wonderful French friends and played host to family and friends from US and Qatar. Cydney and I would take nightly walks on the Seine and I would smoke my cigars. We made trips to London, Bordeaux, Reims, Brussels and Bruge. My son and I even did a Belgium Beer Tour. It was the best. We even had friends from Paris attend Brad and Heather's wedding.
We are currently waiting for the newlyweds to give us some grandkids... We hope it won't be a long wait.
