Scott's Story
Wow, my story....well the older we get the more things change. I guess the most import things that happened to me after high school were getting sober and coming out of the closet. Those two things changed the course of my life immensely. And I am incredibly grateful for both. Since I stopped frying every brain cell I have, I was able to go to college and graduate school and got my Master's degree in social work. The punch-line of my life is that I work as a probation officer. Yes, that's right, Scott Kiefer is tasked with making sure OTHER people don't break the law. I worked in juvenile probation in St. Louis for several years and even had the pleasure of meeting some of your children there. However, in August 2004 I made the move to San Diego, California, where I now work as a Federal Probation Officer in the Southern District of California. San Diego is like...Expand for more
living in paradise and I hope to never move back to St. Louis. I enjoy my visits but always love coming home to SoCal. I'm single today, after nine years in a great relationship that just didn't seem to work out how we expected. It's all good though. I recently purchased a home here and have a tremendous group of friends that I wouldn't give up for anything.
Basically, my life couldn't be more different than you guys expected. I'm a sober, gay, educated, professional working in law enforcement (with a badge and a gun). I've been playing flag football for the past three years and also enjoying running and lifting weights. I quit smoking cigarettes after I moved out here which has helped.
Basically, I have a life that is infinitely better than anything I could have imagined for myself. I can't wait to see where this thing takes me.
What's your story?
