Life
Hi, I finally did it, joining this. Briefly, I moved to Florida in '92 after working in physical therapy for a few years...and have been a Police Officer here since. For some of you that knew me in high school this may be hard to believe...hehe. I was with the Lee County Sheriff's Department for 10 years and worked the Violent Street Crimes Unit on the midnight shift for most of that time. What fun is it otherwise? I transferred to the Port Authority Police down here about a year and a half ago. Not quite as exciting as what I was used to, but I have a beautiful 6 year old girl now so all the crazy stuff had to stop...kind of. I was on the HDS (bomb) Squad, work Investigations and am a Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Thinkin' about getting out of it all together...not sure yet. UPDATE-I Did it. Finished my Bachelor's finally and am now working on my Master's in business. Being a dad was more important...Expand for more
than being a cop. And, unfortunately, many police officers are uneducated. It's hard working for some ____ that doesn't even know the laws. Oh well. I was married shortly after I moved here, to a St.Louisan, we divorced after about 7 yrs., but remain friends. Then I met this _____...just kidding, well...not really...and I did get a beautiful baby girl out of the deal. Still hitting the gym alot and hangin' with my daughter. I have her all the time so it doesn't leave much time for going out and partying anymore. That was a MAJOR culture shock!
I can go to the beach anytime, so I usually take vacations to....yup, St.Louis. Gotta come up and see the family. I'll be up in March for a few days. I Keep in touch with a few of my best friends, but unfortunately have lost touch with alot of you.
