Scott's Story
Hello everyone from Tigerland. I joined the Air Force in May of 75. I had tours of duty in Mississippi, Colorado, Maine, England, South Dakota, Korea, and Arizona. I left the Air Force in 1993, and came back to Texas. I worked for the TX Dept of Criminal Justice as a Sgt. of Corrections for 6 yrs. I then drove big rig over the road. In 2001 I accepted a maintenance position at a pavement marking co. in San Antonio. In June of this year (08) I accepted a contract to teach in Afganistan for a year with an option for a second tour. loyment training and getting ready to go. I will be deploying sometime within the nest 2 weeks.
My wonderful wife(who briefly went to A&M Consolidated) and youngest son will stay in Tx. We have 7 wonderful children, ranging from 30 to 14, and 5 lovely grandbabies. Our middle son will be deploying with me in the same job. This will be his second tour as a civilian contractor.
We live outside of San Antonio on a small farm owned by my mother-in-law. 2 years ago we built a small 3 bedroom house getting ready for retirement, which will happen at the end of my second tour overseas.
