Scott's Story
I left Whitney to go to Gahr High School. There I wrestled and played football and studied history and math. After graduating from Gahr I went to college in Riverside, CA. While working full time at various jobs ranging from bouncer to life guard. I earned an Associates in Engineering and later became a Journeyman Electro-Mechanical Industrial Plant Engineer in Ontario, CA. I married my wife and put her through school at UCR where she became a teacher. We left CA in 1996 and moved to Murfreesboro, TN where she taught and I worked as a Plant Engineer at Pillsbury. back to school to get a degree that would get me into a new line of work. I enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University as a Physical Therapy student and studied pre-med for a couple of years before changing my major to Applied Mathematics. We had our son Zebulon in October 2005. I got a job as a Loss Control/Risk Manager at a large insurance ageny in Nashville, TN. I Graduated from MTSU with a B.S. in Actuarial Science/Quantitative Risk Analysis in May 2008. I enjoy doing probability and statistics with my 7 year old daughter (who is currently in Algebra 1). I am currently enjoying my life as a non-student.
