January 17, 2009 After graduating in 1981 from Glendale High School in Glendale, AZ, I received my Bachelor's of Music degree in Choral/General Music from Arizona State University. I went on to teach at Alhambra High School in Phoenix, AZ for 4 years (1986-1990). Since 1990, I have lived in Denver, Colorado. I completed graduate school in 1994 with a Masters of Music degree in Voice Performance which led to my current position as Director of Vocal Music at Denver School of the Arts, an arts magnet school for grades 6-12. I have been teaching at DSA since 1998, and it continues to be both challenging and rewarding. I often wonder what the next chapter of life will bring, as teaching music does take a lot of energy.
