After graduation I spent way too many years "playing in college". Graduated with my AA from DVC and then went on to receive my BA in Psychology from Sonoma State University. After (and through) college, I taught in several private schools- from Pre-school to 6th grade and LOVED IT!! Enjoyed the fabulous blurr of my 20s. Finally figured I had "test driven the car" long enough and married Scott in Nov. 1996 (yep the same Scott I met Jr. year at AHS)... an incredible day in my life and I can't remember a thing of it... after the whole "til death do you part" it went fuzzy (Wedding reception highlight: After noticing a couple party-crashers, my bridesmaid "posse" went to escort them out and was informed by the gentleman that he had actually been a classmate of mine in 2nd grade at John Swett. He and his wife had been having dinner, he recognized my maiden name and wanted to peek in and congratulate the bride & groom! We invited them to stay, had so much fun reminiscing, and catching up!) I continued to teach until I was offered a wonderful position as the Director of an on-site daycare center at Ayers Elementary school in Concord.
