I want everyone to know about a friend of mine, that many of you might know...Robert Meadows. Some of you may have heard already, but most of you out there, may have not, and as a friend, I need to make sure his story gets out to as many people, as possible... Before heading out on his fall tour in 2006, the great Paul Simon first did an Aug. 26 benefit concert in Dallas. a after an alleged random attack by three idiots, outside of a convenient store (7-11) off Northwest Highway at Bachman Lake, in Dallas. His assailants, who remain at large, left Robert unable to walk or communicate and facing more than $1.5 million in medical care and rehabilitation bills. The families of Brickell, who is Simon's wife, and Meadows have been friends since Edie Brickell and Robert Meadows were children. There is a website set up, so contributions can be made, the "Robert C. Meadows Fund."
