Scott's Story
Back story for those stopping by; I sent 4 years in the orchestra playing the violin and got a letter sweater senior year. Went on to ASU where I also spent 4 years in their Symphony Orchestra, best class I ever took. The Orchestra did tours during semester break, we went to the 3 adjacent states. Concerts at schools, Community Colleges, Navy and Air Force Bases; enjoyed every bit of it. Unfortunately did not stay with the violin, but did become a classical NPR fan.
As to H.S. girls were not my thing; I can only name 4, 2 from orchestra Karen V. and Linda A., Karen B. from the clubs and Mickey Howdzy from shared classes.
Clubs: I belonged to 4 clubs during the 4 years; Science Club, Radio Club, Chess Club, and German Club. Those people I actually remember and can name came from these clubs.
Teachers: Favorite teachers were; Mr Stokel Wood Shop, Mr Broten Physics, Mrs Boulet Chemistry and Mrs Brenner German Class. Loved the German class tried again at ASU but...Expand for more
not the fun as in H.S.
College summer job was working for KPHO TV, interesting to work with Wallace and Ladmo, Later Mr. Broten got a summer job there also, definitely different being the senior person. Married in 1970 and still married. Did not complete my course work at ASU, just a few hours short. Went back 10 years later (UofA & PCC) to c0mplete my degree work, Last hours of retakes were a GPA of 3.8. A whole lot better than my ASU grades. Finished my BA Sec. Ed*in Industrial Arts, had taken the electronics side of it and gone into radio communications. That job was with the State of AZ (the Department of Public Safety). Spent almost 41 years there in radio communications. Retired in 2013, although still work part-time for them.
Hobbies include; woodworking, ham radio, photography, astronomy and a couple more. I now live in a more rural part of AZ, nice dark skys for astronomy and fair amount of local wildlife. Otherwise just trying to stay out of trouble.
