Scott's Story
Well, it has been a long, long, long time since I have lived in Elyria, Ohio. After graduating from EC in 1989 I joined the US Navy as an Air Traffic Controller and completed 12 years of active duty. I was station aboard the USS America (Aircraft Carrier) from 1990-94 and fought in Operation Desert Storm. From 94-99 I was stationed in sunny Key West, FL., and from 99-02 I was stationed overseas in Rota, Spain. I left the Navy in late 2002 as an AC1 (E-6).
Now, I live in Orlando, FL. (in the suburbs, actually in Casselberry, FL. and I am an Asset Protection Coordinator for Winn Dixie Corporation. And that means conducting internal investigations of fraud and theft of employees and vendors as well as arresting shoplifters at my various stores. And yes, I have 2 teenage children, my son is 16 and my daughter is about to turn 14...Expand for more
. And I am divorced, yippee on that one.
And I look a little different now. I have the whole shaved head thing going (Partly because I like it and partly because the hair receded a tad during my years in the Navy.) and a full tattoo sleeve on my right arm, and various tattoos on my legs and chest. I look professional for work in the corporate world, but in the off time, nothing beats a hoodie and a pair of DC skate shoes. And unlike most people who are getting to be the age of 38, I have not packed on the weight and still workout.
I haven't been back to Elyria more than a few times since I moved away when I was 19 so any long, lost people who may remember my former cocky, arrogant, soccer playing butt drop me line and say hi!!!! (I did say formerly cocky and arrogant, hopefully I am remembered as a nice guy, LOL).
