School
After graduation from Tech I attended Baylor University where I graduated in 1981 with a BA in Religion.
I then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for one year before leaving to take a job in politics.
During one year while living in Austin I attended Saint Edwards University and the University of Texas to work on a BS in Education. I did not complete this degree.
After a seven year gap I did return to Southwestern and in 1995 I graduated with my Masters in Religious Education.
I may still go back and get my Doctorate at some point, but I just don't know.
My wife Jill and I live in Evadale in Southeast Texas north of Beaumont. Our oldest son John-Weldon is 21 and just finished his ...Expand for more
soph year at SFA. Our youngest son is finishing his junior year of high school. He is #1 in his class and is seeking an appointment to the Naval Acedemy. Jill and I will celebrate our 29th anniversary in June and are somewhat looking forward to having the house to ourselves once Eli graduates.
I am very involved in our community as we have been on staff at the Central Baptist Church for 8 1/2 years. I am the Associate Pastor of youth and music. I announce for the high school and junior high football games, write sports stories for the Buna Beacon a small paper in a nearby community andI and one of the founders and the president of the Evadale Catfish Festival which celebrated its 6th anniversary in May of 2010.
