Scott's Story
After high school I attended Truman State University where I earned my B.S. in 2000. I began my graduate work at the University of Kansas obtaining my M.S. in 2002 and my Ph.D. in 2007. My studies and research interests focused on the ever developing field of Applied Physiology; this included topics ranging from clinical exercise testing and prescription through molecular and cellular techniques to assess biochemical and physiological variables. research position Washington University in July 2007 working in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipid Research. Away from the University, my wife and I live in the Dogtown neighborhood of St. Louis and we enjoy spending time outdoors or with our friends and working on projects around the house.
My current research focus is centered on the immunological function of skeletal muscle and the interactions of various diseases and pharmacological interventions.
