Sean's Story

As of early 2021 I have lived in Phoenix, AZ, while contiuing to have a home in Brazil. My beloved son Dan died in 2018 suddently after a brain tumor surgery - he is the father or my only grandchild, Leandra, born 2015. My sister Kathy, sadly, passed away suddenly in January 2022 of COVID-connected heart failure. I lived in Brazil since late 2002 - first two years in Rio and since late 2004, after many visits here, moved to a small city, Abadiania, Goias, near Brasilia in the interior, where I do volunteer work at the Casa Dom Inacio, a healing center visited by 10s of thousands of sick and interested persons every year. I also bring groups here, help people with addictive diseases, and own a business which is in gradual development - a small Inn and Restaurant. I spent many years before moving here studying various methods of non-physical alternative healing, spiritual healing treatments, and breath-work for healing from a number of cultural traditions both in the US and in other countries. This interest evolved from my own personal experiences of healing and treatments both with and without western medical intervention. Seems like a long way from my prior work in electronics! I am very happy doing these things. After graduating from OHS in 64, I went full tie to U of MD studying Electronics Engineering, and went directly to work at NRL in DC - Naval Research Labs, where I worked for 11 years. I met my first wife at the university and we married in 1969, had one son Mike and then adopted our son Danny when he was 15 months old. We moved ...Expand for more
to Silicon Valley CA in 1979 where I worked in the electronics industry - always doing research and development. Michele and I divorced in 1981; I married Jill in 1983 and we divorced in 1987 - had 4 step-kids. Was an avid skier and had a congenital defect on my knee which in 1992 was healed by alternative methods - chi channeling and spiritual healing. That started my interest in alternative healing and for the next decade plus part and then full time studied and practiced Polarity Therapy (US), Reiki (Japan), Pranic Healing (Philipines), Massage (US), Light-body infusion (Brasil), Rebirthing (breath-work for healing - US/India) and Balinese Traditional Healing. In 1994 I moved to and worked in Santa Barbara CA for 3 years after which I left the electronics industry and lived in several places - Big Sur CA for a year,Monterey Peninsula, CA and then in 2001 moved to Portland Oregon - all incredibly beautiful places to live. In 2002 I decided to explore a move to Brasil and very quickly that evolved into my move to Rio and then here and the rest is history. I remain single so far and I am open to meeting the right person for a committed relationship - in its right time and place! In meantime I get much of my fulfillment from helping others. In 2008-09 my mother became too ill to stay at her beloved home in Overlea and she moved to assisted living, always hoping against hope that she could return. She passed over in May after much illness and deterioration, but always with that spirit of strength and determination for which she was famous.
