Life
SEAN ÂBIG BRUIZERÂ BROOKS
BIO
Take a look at the musical history of The Bronx and youÂll discover a
vivid collage of jazz, pop, Latin, R& B, hip hop, and rock music. With
such a colorful blend of talent and creativity in one place, itÂs no
wonder Bronx native, Sean ÂBruizer Brooks found himself obsessed with all
things musical at an early age. Youthful performances in local talent
shows with choirs and singing groups honed his talent and sparked a
hunger to learn more about the music business.
His path to the inner workings of the industry began with the now
defunct Legacy Records. After the unexpected demise of that company in 1994,
he moved on to become the personal assistant to the president of
Atlantic Records, Danny Goldberg. This position pushed him deeper into the
industry, and soon, he was able to obtain a similar position with the CEO
of Warner Bros. Records.
For the next 10 years, Sean would find himself working for the CEOÂs of
four major record labels. Noticing his penchant for predicting hits,
his bosses would often introduce him to ne...Expand for more

it. One of SeanÂs picks was the Baha MenÂs ÂWho Let the Dogs OutÂ,
which later went triple-platinum and won the 2001 Grammy for Best Dance
Recording!
His track record for picking hits was impeccable. So much so that the
CEO & President of Artemis Records decided to make him a part of the A&R
promotions team for R&B and Hip Hop at Artemis Records. The first
record signed in his new position was KhiaÂs ÂMy Neck My BackÂ, which went
on to reach gold statusÂa rare feat for a new artist, and a triumph for
Mr. Brooks.
Since then, Sean has worked with a range of talented and awardÂwinning
artists including Freddie Jackson, Jimmy Cliff, Jaguar Wright, Ruff
Ryders, Sugrcult, Dr. Cornel West, Jesse Malin, and Steve Earle. He also served as
Executive Producer on the underground buzz-maker, ÂNasty ConfessionsÂ.
Propelled by a trademark Âno stress attitude and a gift for spotting
talent a mile away, ÂBRUIZERÂ the name that most people call him was recently snapped up by Media World Entertainment to be their Vice President of A&R.
