Seburn's Story
Y'all cannot forget me. I always tried to get all the teacher's attention like Mrs. Lewis. It isironic that Iworked for the Ouachita School Board for 34 years. My first year, I taught 8th grade math at BOLEY JR. HIGH. I taught some of your brothers and sisters. I then taught and coached at JACK HAYES JR. HIGH. I became Asst. Principalat Woodlawn Jr. High for 2 years. I then became Asst. Principal at Calhoun Middle School. Loved it. During this time, I also became Asst. Manager at County Market and Mac's Fresh Market. I should have stayed with the School Board for 40 years, but I became an alcoholic and compulsive gambler. I am doing much better ...Expand for more
now. I've been sober and free from gamblingfor 2 1/2 years. I have 2 sons, Chad who is 40 and has two boys 5 and 7. He plans radiation treatment for cancer patients right here in Baton Rouge. Greg, who is 38 became a preacher in Oak Grove. Listen to this, he has one son 11, two daughters, 16 and 20. I lost my only daughter in a car wreck in 2003. She was 22 and about to graduate from LSU. In the same wreck I lost my daughter-in-law who was pregnant. Thank The Lord Chad escaped with minor injuries. I am now working at LaBlancs in Prairieville, a suburb of Baton Rouge. I miss the old high school days. I miss y'all. See y'all in the funny papers.
