Selene's Story
Life
Well, didn't turn out to be a successfull phsychologist like it says in the Alape. But I think it turned out pretty well. I went into Hotel Management and I've been in the business since 1991, after La Sierra. I started as Front Desk Clerk at a Crowne Plaza in Mexicali, Baja, Mex. and up untill last year I was General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express in El Centro, CA. Living in Mexico, commuting back & forth across the border every day. I own an apartment complex in Mexicali together with my brother Armando (SPA '82) Married the Crowne Plaza Night Mgr in '95 seperated in '98, year my daughter was born and havent' seen him since. Yeah, my Business life has been definitely more successfull than my personal, But regardless I'm very Happy, the best thing in my life is my daughter, Fernanda Alexei. s & Marketing Manager for the Comfort Inn and also Asst. Manager for the Vagabond Inn so between 2 full time jobs I try to spend any spare time with my little girl. Ah! That sums it up... :)
School
Biggest Crush was always Wes even after we broke up our senior year. We did so many crazy things together. We even took a weekend off in Mexico together with Bez and Wayland Rengifo and Myrna Ochoa we went clubing in Mexicali "Beans" It was alot of Fun. One of my funniest memories is Senior River Trip. When Maribel, I and a couple of the other girls kept crossing over Mr. Bowman in the middle of the night to bring down the guys tents. It was so funny the guys couldn't figure out what kept happening, The tent kept falling down in their faces while they were trying to sleep. And Learning how to ski was awesome. Mr Schmidt was always my favorite. He was such an inspiration to all of us, I think.
